Anna Ortega is a journalist, photographer, photojournalist and visual artist based in Porto Alegre, Brasil.
Interested in the dialogue of the different art expressions - photography, text, video - she pursues in the image the possibility of the encounter, of the affect. Her work looks into daily life, the “little” of the world, the home and the memory. In 2020, her long term project “There Is No Home Without Flowers” has been awarded in Prêmio Diário Contemporâneo, one of the most relevants prizes for contemporary photography in Brasil. She regulary contribuites to relevant media publications, such as UOL, Nexo, Dialogue Earth and others focused in art and culture, such as Zum Megazine and Select.
Anna coordinates the journalism department of Nonada, a brazilian non-profit of culture and journalism
